Unfortunately, there really is no strategy for 10 High Hold’em. As you place your bet before the cards are dealt, your chances of winning are completely random. That being said, knowledge of poker and poker strategies can only help you in this game. In addition, I do have a couple of tips on how to make the most of your money while playing the three different wagering opportunities.
As mentioned in the Overview and Rules sections, there are three different wagers in 10 High Hold’em. If you’re a beginner to poker, you should disregard the 10+ Bet and the Bonus Bet. It’s best to get to know the game before you venture into these other areas. If you don’t play them smartly, they can drain your account.
The lure of the two bonus bets can be strong as they offer such high payouts. However, as is the case with most bonus bets, the house edge can be pretty high. If you do decide to play the 10+ Bet or the Bonus Bet, it’s best to make these half or a quarter of your Initial Bet. This way you can play them without depleting your account, and if you’re lucky enough to get a pair of 10s or better, you’ll get a decent pay out.
This is a great game for all types of poker players. As it is so similar to Texas Hold’em, you might have a slight advantage if you’re familiar with this game. But, if you’re not, 10 High Hold’em is an excellent place for you to start familiarizing yourself with poker and the different winning hands. Once you get used to the quicker pace and the betting system, you’re sure to enjoy this game.
