Roulette players have a wide range of choices when it comes to placing a bet. With eleven types of bets falling into two different groups - "inside bets" and "outside bets". Each table has a minimum and a maximum for each type of bet.
The player is able to make as many bets are they like, provided they pay at least the minimum on each of the outside bets and you meet or exceed the minimum on aly collective inside bets.
Straight Bet: A bet on any single number of the roulette whlee, including the 0 and 00. The chip must be placed squarely inside the box, without touching any of the lines. The payout for this bet is 35 to 1.
Split Bet: The split bet is a bet on any two adjoining numbers on the betting layout. The chip is placed in the line dividing the boxes of the two numbers. This bet pays out with odds of 17 to 1.
Street Bet: A bet on any three numbers in a row on the betting layout. The chip is placed squarely on the line at the edge of the chosen row. This bet pays out with odds of 11 to 1.
Corner Bet: A bet of any four numbers forming a block on the betting layout. The chip is placed at the intersection of the four chosen boxes. The odds for this bet are 8 to 1.
Five-number Bet: The five-number bet is a bet covering 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. The chips is placed on the line that seperates the 0 and 00 boxes from the 1, 2, 3 row of boxes. The odds for this bet are 6 to 1.
Line Bet: A bet on any two "streets" on the betting layout - counting six numbers in total. The chip is placed on the edge of the chosen rows, on the line that intersects them. The odds on this bet are 5 to 1.
Black/Red Bet: A bet that the winning number will be a red or a black number. The chip is placed entirely within the relevant box. The odds on this bet are 1 to 1 (even money).
Odd/Even Bet: A bet that the winning number will be an odd or even number, the odds for this bet is 1 to 1 (even money).
High/Low Bet: A bet that the winning number will be either in the low numbers (1-18) or in the high numbers (19-36). The payout on this bet is even money or 1 to 1.
Dozen Bet: A bet on the number being in the first twelve (1-12), the second twelve (13-24) or the third twelve (25-36) on the wheel. The odds on this bet are 2 to 1.
Column Bet: A bet on any number within any of the three vertical colums on the betting layout. The bet does not incluide the 0 and 00. The odds on this bet are 2 to 1.
