Baccarat
Baccarat is one of the easiest casino games to play, but is also one of the most sophisticated games around. Baccarat also offers a unique opportunity for players because they can choose to bet on the Players hand or the Dealers hand.
Rules of Baccarat
In Baccarat hands are evaluated to a maximum value of 9. Cards are valued at face value, Aces are worth one and Jack, Queen and Kings are worth 10. When adding the total of a hand, anthing over 9 is removed to give a total.
As am example, if a hand is a Q, 9 the total is 19 so the 10 is dropped and the value is 9. If a hand is 4,8,7 the total is 21 so teh 20 is dropped and the value is 1. If you can understand this concept, you've already mastered Baccarat.
Baccarat starts with you placing your bet on either the dealers hand, the players hand or a tie. Each hand is dealt two cards and these hands are evaluated.
If a hand is worth 9 when it is dealt, that hand is considered a "Natural" and wins automatically. If neither hand is a Natural, then a third card is dealt to each hand, and the hand with the highest total wins.
